The problem

The furniture retail dilemma

You didn't get into furniture to run a fleet. But the moment you sell something, you're in the trucking business too.

Slow months, same truck payment

A truck is a fixed cost. It costs the same in a dead February as it does in a busy September. The lease, the insurance, the plate renewal: they all land whether you sold ten sofas or none.

Logistics is a completely different business

New truck and swallow the payment, or used truck and swallow unpredictable maintenance? Full-time driver you pay through the slow weeks, or part-time and deal with the call-in-sick and the no-show? None of these are furniture decisions.

You can't sell where your truck can't go

Selling online, or into a new city, means a route that doesn't pay for itself yet. Geographic expansion turns into a capital problem instead of a sales opportunity.

The Onedock model

One dock instead of a dozen routes.

This is the part most delivery companies can't do. We don't just drive your truck for you. We remove the need for one.

Today

Without Onedock

The status quo: tangled supplier and store delivery routes Four suppliers each ship to four separate stores, and each store then drives to four separate cities, creating sixteen crossing routes on each leg. Supplier Supplier Supplier Supplier Store Store Store Store City City City City Every leg paid for. Every truck half empty.
  • Every supplier either charges you a delivery fee to your store, or you cover the cost of collecting it yourself.
  • Your truck drives to a city for one or two customers.
  • A customer buying from three suppliers waits for three separate deliveries.
With Onedock

One dock. One delivery.

The Onedock model: suppliers converge on one dock, one truck per city All four suppliers ship into a single Onedock warehouse. From that dock, one consolidated truck runs to each city carrying ten to fifteen nearby customers. Supplier Supplier Supplier Supplier ONEDOCK · GTA warehouse City City City City One truck per city · 10–15 stops per run
  • Most suppliers already deliver free to the GTA, so we just have them deliver to us.
  • One truck per city, 10–15 nearby customers on board.
  • Items from four different suppliers arrive at your customer's door together, once.

You get big-fleet economics without owning a fleet.

How it works

Three steps. That's the whole process.

  1. 1

    You place your orders

Order from your suppliers exactly as you always have. Then send us the delivery information: customer, address, items.

  2. 2

    We receive and schedule

Your orders arrive at our dock. We contact your customer directly and book a delivery window that actually works for them.

  3. 3

    We deliver and prove it

We complete the last-mile delivery and send you proof of delivery: photos, signature and timestamp. You stay in the loop the whole way.

We handle the logistics, so you can sell more furniture.

The case for outsourcing

Why outsourcing last-mile delivery makes sense

01 Put your capital where it actually returns

You're in the furniture retail business. Floor models, your website, advertising. Sales-side investment is what grows a store. A truck has never sold a sofa.

02 Turn a fixed cost into a variable one

Every business owner hates fixed cost, the money you pay whether you sell or not. Shifting fixed to variable is the dream. That's exactly what we are: if you sell, you pay for a delivery. If you don't, you pay nothing.

03 Benefit from our scale

Your customer shouldn't wait two weeks until it finally makes sense to send your truck to their city. We're already going there this week, and once the item reaches our dock most deliveries land within 3–10 days.

04 Peak season, handled

Where your own fleet would hit its ceiling, ours hasn't. Sell through your busiest season without capacity being the thing that stops you.

Why Onedock

We protect your customer relationship

Hundreds of five-star reviews. We know what makes a customer satisfied at the door, because we want them coming back to you.

Full visibility, dock to doorstep

Tracking and status updates the whole way through. You're in the loop, and so is your customer.

Questions

What store owners ask us first

No. The sale stays yours. We handle scheduling and the delivery itself, and we do it the way a good store would, because our entire job is making sure your customer comes back to you.

Every item is photographed at our dock on arrival, and again when it's delivered. If anything is damaged while it's in our care, we cover it in full.

Not at the moment. We don't currently offer assembly, packaging removal or old-furniture removal. What we do offer is room of choice: we carry the item inside and place it exactly where your customer wants it, rather than leaving it at the door.

No minimum and no monthly commitment. Send us one delivery or fifty. The published rate is flat either way, anywhere in our coverage area.

We run scheduled routes to every city in our coverage area each week, so your customer isn't waiting for a truckload to justify the trip. Once the item is at our dock, we book them into the next available window for their city. Expect delivery within 3–10 days.

In most cases, yes. Most furniture suppliers already offer free delivery within the GTA, and our dock in Etobicoke sits inside that zone, close to most of them. So instead of paying a delivery fee to your store, or sending someone to collect the goods yourself, they arrive at our dock at no cost. Worth checking today: give your suppliers our address, 270 Rexdale Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 1R2, and ask. It's one phone call.

We can collect a return on a scheduled run to that city and bring it back to our dock, or to your store. The same delivery rates apply.

Fill in the get started form and we'll call you back to set it up with you during onboarding. It's very easy to use, and we'll fit it around the way your store already works.
